William Gifford Woodman

William Gifford Woodman of Bassano passed away on April 6, 2022 at the age of 54 years. William was born in Calgary on October 5, 1967 and moved at a young age to Baynes Lake, B.C. William received his schooling in Jaffray, B.C. and enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing the local hotspots. William was always improving his skills and knowledge and after high school he attended Lethbridge Community College. William was employed at JBS and later became employed within the security sector where again he continued adding to his skills by receiving various job-related skill certifications. He was a kind, gentle man with a love for people and a great sense of humor. William was fond of animals and very much enjoyed following hockey (he actually knew everything about hockey), growing up playing slow pitch and collecting comics and weekly local poker nights with friends. William was a big man with a big heart and loved his family dearly; especially his young grandson Gunner. William was predeceased by his father Bill; uncle Richard Springer; mother-in-law Marie Dodge and cousin Donnie Wayne Woodman. He is survived by his three children; Aaron Woodman, Morgan Woodman, Tyrone Woodman; sister Candiss Woodman; mother Elizabeth Woodman; grandson Gunner William Sanchez; son-in-law Austin Sanchez as well as numerous other friends and family members. In memory of William, if family or friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Brooks Animal Protection Society (BAPS)
