William Owen Tustian (Owen) Died October 5, 2021 in Calgary AB, at 84 years of age.
Owen was a free spirit from birth. Walking to school was an event that may or may not eventually take him to the school house with so many distractions. He was religious and served a Mission in France Belgium for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had an insatiable desire to do new things. From heading up an education program to teach French via the telephone, to land development and owning a camp ground, to selling Inuit art and rehabbing homes he was never afraid of an adventure.
As long as we can remember Owen has been pulling up an underdog. From the camper in our back yard for anyone who needed it, to picking up hitch hikers, allowing one on hard times to share our dinner, or spending time in Africa to help people. He always believed he was and wanted to aid someone in need. He has sacrificed many things in his life for a cause he believed to be great. As sisters, children, nieces, nephews and grand children we all hold some large or small part of if him in us and in his passing I hope that we can find just a touch of his blind trust and kindness in our every day lives.
Predeceased by father Orvall Tustian, and mother Eva Tustian, Siblings Janice McBride, Karen Bullock, Gloria Richards, Robert Tustian. Survived by his 2 sisters Diane Hunt (Wayne) and Molly Hirtle (Johnny), 5 children, Jayna Porter (Michael), Peter Tustian (Barb), Amie Leszczynski (Tony Mollo), Dee-Anna Tracy (Aaron), Dan Tustian (Natalie), 17 grandchildren, and 6 great grand children.
