Vaughn Pierce Dayton Running Rabbit

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Vaughn Pierce Dayton Running Rabbit on November 4, 2021. 

Vaughn was born in Calgary, Alberta on August 27, 1992, being the oldest of two boys Vaughn had a very close brotherly bond with Elijah aka Vaughn known as Post Malone, and Elijah as Rich Bryan.  Alana and the boys lived in Calgary, Edmonton, and Siksika, AB.  Residing in both Calgary and Etown, Vaughn was a true Flames fan, even when mama jumped ship and cheered for the Oilers, he stayed loyal to his Calgary Flames.  Besides hockey, Vaughn was an avid gamer since he could learn to walk and could battle with the best of them.  Vaughn was instilled with respect, kindness, humility, and trustworthiness.  These traits were visible to all who knew him. 

Coming from a huge family there was never a shortage of brothers and sisters for Vaughn to chill with.  He loved all his family and in turn, all loved him immensely. His easy-going nature, politeness, charisma, and humorous attitude drew people toward him. His presence will be deeply missed at family gatherings, social media, visits with friends, and the mothers of his two beautiful daughters, who were the center of this world.

In 2018, Vaughn received his High School Diploma from the Old Sun Community College with his brother Elijah and cousin Ciara Three Suns. After grad, Vaughn was employed with Siksika Public Works. Still trying to find his calling, Vaughn moved to Calgary for more opportunities however, our Lord had different plans.

Vaughn leaves behind his loving Mama, Alana Running Rabbit, Dad, Delford (Nicole) Three Suns; brothers Elijah Three Suns(aka Three Rabbits), Stanley (Felicia) Axe, Henissey, Farence & Nickolas Three Suns; daughters, (his pride & joys) Caidence & Autumn Running Rabbit; niece Eska; 2nd moms April (Manuel) Running Rabbit and Dora Running Rabbit. Grandparents Allan & Josie Running Rabbit; Uncle Horton (Cecile) Running Rabbit, Garth Solway; Aunts Missy & Holly Running Rabbit, Nikki (Dwayne) Tartsah, Delores (Marcel) Right Hand & Leanne Three Suns; Great Uncles Morris (Myrna) Running Rabbit, Garry (Karen) Running Rabbit, Wes (Birdie) Running Rabbit, Leanne Three Suns, Frank, Stanford (Karen), Alvin & Stanley Three Suns; Great Aunts Lena Running Rabbit, Colleen (Lionel) Two Horns, Joanne (Stu) Scout, Rita (Clarence) Running Rabbit, Donna Little Light, Ina Maguire, Jaylene Maguire. 

Waiting to welcome Vaughn to the happy hunting grounds are grandparents Henry & Priscilla Three Suns, Great Grandparents Annie & Joe Running Rabbit, Pius & Margaret Three Suns, Rosie Royal, & Josie Fox; Uncle Mel Lepetre, Great Uncles Arnold Running Rabbit Sr., Michael & Donnie Three Suns, Great-Aunt Sheila Running Rabbit, Rosaline, Emma (Harold) Wright, Joyce & Albertine Three Suns, brothers JR Running Rabbit, Ian Montour, Dez Two Horns, cousins Sherri Running Rabbit & Verlyn Montour.

Both Max and Paws, his beloved furbabies will also be waiting for him at Rainbow Bridge.

Extended families include Fox, Three Suns, Many Guns, Duck Chief, Spring Chief, Frank, Doore, Royal, Many Heads, Big Tobacco, Olds, Water Chief, Wright, Red Crow, Black Rider, Good Eagle, Eagle Speaker, Maguire; the family apologizes for anyone that was missed.

In our hour of sadness, we wish to acknowledge our sincere gratitude for the outpour of love, sympathy, and prayers we have received from our family and friends, and co-workers.  God bless all of you.
