Valerie Danielle Blackface-Blackhorse
It was with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Valerie, at the age of 38 yrs old. Valerie was very outgoing and loved by many. All her friends and family, will remember her for kind heart, helpfulness , her loving nature, beautiful smile and how much she loved her kids. Valerie loved all her family, especially her grandpa Jackie, all her siblings, cousins , nephews and nieces and cherished friends who were close to her.
Valerie was raised in Siksika mainly by her grandparents Jackie and Edna, whom she loved dearly. Valerie grew up in townsite having close friendships and making great memories of sleepovers and dance parties with her friends. Later on in her older teens she moved to Calgary with her mom and brother Howie. Where she continued to make more friends and learned to become more outgoing and not so shy. Not long after she became pregnant and had her first baby Jerome, she was so happy and proud of him. She moved back to Siksika to try raise him there, but she grew to love Calgary and made her way back up there. A few years later she had her daughter Akasha, son Keaton, daughter Sawyer and her baby Raymond. She loved them immensely and thought the world of them.
Sadly, Valerie’s journey was cut short and leaves behind her grandpa Jackie Blackface, Father; Grant (Deatrice) Blackhorse, siblings; Howie Blackface, Thomas Blackhorse, Tamona Blackhorse, Grant Jr (Taylor) Blackhorse, Sunni Blackhorse, Dilayna Blackhorse, Kaylnn Blackhorse. Uncle Ronnie (Jill) Blackface, Jack (Coby)Royal, Rufus (Carmen) Red Gun. Aunties; Jacqueline Blackface, Charlotte ( Mario)Provost, Barbara Blackhorse, Karen Faye Wright, Cheri (Max) Royal, Nina Red Gun, Juliet Red Gun, Mona (Darryl) Royal-Mc Donald. Her numerous great uncles, aunties, nephew’s and niece’s, cousins whom she loved dearly. As well as friends, close family and extended families to many to name.
Valerie is now reunited with her mom Diane Blackface, grandmother’s Edna Blackface and Phyllis Blackhorse. Uncle; Raymond Blackface , Gerald Blackface, Lonnie Blackface, Burton Blackhorse, Glen Blackhorse, Clayton Red Gun, Jordan Red Gun. Auntie ; Daphne Blackhorse. Cousins; Kiara Ironbow-Blackface, Eugene Blackface. Numerous great uncle and aunt’s.
