Sidney Leland Edwards/Yellowfly

It is with great sadness on the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, nephew, and uncle.
Leland was a kind- hearted, humble, caring guy. He was the type of person who would help and share with others in need. Also, was very humorous and brightens up the room with his humor and smile. He loved various sports such as basketball; pool; especially skateboarding. He enjoyed spending time with his two boys and showing them the ropes. Also spending time with other family members and his friends; especially his besties and traveling companion Rennan M.T. He had many nicknames: “Leo”, “Leelo” and “Leeboy”.
He will be greatly missed by his two sons, Sidney and Jesse Edwards; especially by his mother Polly and siblings; Keith (Carmen) Yellowfly and Sheri (David) Yellowfly; numerous Aunties, Uncles and Cousins. Great Aunties/Uncle: Judy BH; Liz (Alvin) Big Crow and Jerry (Yvonne) BH. Grandpa: Noel Yellowfly and Grandma Virginia MT. Extended Families: Yellowflys; Cutters; Two Horns; Blackhorses; Many Heads; Edwards; Leathers; Solways; Redcalfs; Day Chiefs; Sitting Eagles; Jerrys; Thunderchilds; Running Rabbits.

Services: Wake on Wednesday January 22, 2020 at 3pm at Siksika Arbor – Siksika Nation, Alberta. Funeral on Thursday January 23, 2020 at 1pm at Holy Trinity Church – Cluny, Alberta. Gravesite service to follow at Little Washington Cemetery. (Feast at Siksika Arbor afterwards)
The family thanks all the doctors and nurses at Foothills Hospital ICU and at South Health Campus Hospital ICU and Unit 66. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
