Sasha Liz Medicine Shield

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much beloved Sasha. She went home peacefully to be with the Lord and reunited with her mother Theresa and twin daughter and son Terri and Frankie Medicine Shield at the age of 38 years old.

Sasha was from the Siksika Nation and lived in Calgary throughout her adult years. Sasha will be remembered for her big heart and compassion that led to her making many friends. She was an amazing and loving mother and had devoted her life to God. Sasha was humble, caring, respectful, and mostly will be remembered for her laughter.

Sasha leaves to mourn behind her children, Julian, Mckennon, and Theresa. Father David (Rhea) Aberdeen, Her culturally adoptive parents Joe & Evangeline Leather, Sisters Lacie (Bryan),  Laura (Gerald), Rowena (Jerrot), Brothers David, Shawn, Five Sisters, Three brothers from the Kainai Nation, Uncles, Floyd (Karen), James Aberdeen, Aunties: Yvonne (Rufus), Sandra (Patrick), Patsy. Numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Sasha loved and adored all her nieces and nephews.

Sasha was predeceased by her mother Theresa Medicine Shield, twin babies Terri and Frankie, maternal grandparents Harrison & Jane Bull Bear, Paternal grandparents Philip & Daisy Aberdeen, brothers Terry and Frankie Medicine Shield, sister Emmy Lou English and cousin Troy Aberdeen.

Extended family are Medicine Shield, Aberdeen, Bull Bear, Solway, Leather, Good Eagle.
