It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Father/adopted Father, Uncle, Brother, Cousin, Grandfather, Friend, Roger Rogerick BearShirt passed away on May 16th 2023.
Roger was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia Fox, his daughter Terri-lee Nadeau, Grand children, special grand daughter Jasmine/ baby Henry lefthand daughter inlaw Rachel Lefthand, Great grandchild Marcus Lefthand, His parents Helena Bearshirt and Samuel Cutter (James BS)
Roger is survived by his children Brian Dixon Cody Nadeau (Dakoda), Jeremy Crane, Ashlie Fox, Teira Nadeau, Colton Nadeau, adopted daughters Sharon Manywounds, Ronette Thompson (Tony), Gloria Snow (Ken) and many other adopted children too many to mention.
Siblings Elizabeth Lynda (Ron) Backfat, Victor Cutter, Hector Cutter, Clayton (Molly) Cutter, Rosa Medicine Traveller, Stella TurningRobe and adopted brother Ken (Gloria).

Predeceased siblings: Frances Cutter (Gail Bird) Laurette (Francis) Manywounds, Marie Cutter, Ronald Bearshirt, niece Adeline Manywounds, Sharon Bearshirt, Nephew Jordan Bearshirt, Sheldon Dixon, Jordell (Girlie) Hunter, Janice Marlene Nadeau, Father Inlaw Henry DodgingHorse, Mother Inlaw Agnes Nadeau, brother inlaw Kelly Nadeau, He was raised by Edna StudHorse and Roselyn ManyGuns.

Roger is survived by his children Colton Nadeau, Cody Nadeau (Dakota) Jeremy Crane and daughters Ashlie Fox, Teira Nadeau. His grandchildren/great grandchildren Siblings James Bernard (Raylene) Bearshirt, Elizabeth Bearshirt, Lynda (Ron) Backfat Victor Cutter, Hector Cutter, Clayton (Molly) Cutter. Adopted siblings Ken (Gloria) Lavae, Rosa Medicine Traveller, Stella Turning Robe, Ruth Broad Scalplock( Francis Melting Tallow) Angeline Manyshots. Numerous nieces and nephews, adopted children too many to mention. God daughter Lori (Max) Red Crow, and best friend Michelle Saddleback. Roger was raised by his Traditional father The old man Weasel Child and Mr & Mrs John Plaited Hair of Kainai, AB. Roger will be remembered for his kind humble spirit. He was no stranger at the powwow, Having been a singer for many years with The Bearshirt family as well as The Turning Robe drum group. He always showed his support in and around the Calgary area for Indigenous awareness.
From MMIW walks to Residential School Survivors, as well as The Awo taan Mens healing circle. Roger was a proud member of The Walking Eagle Club and we an Elder for The Calgary Native Friendship Center. Roger is reunited with the love of his life wife Patti Bearshirt/Fox, He is predeceased by his parents Helena Bearshirt, biological father Sam cutter and father James Bearshirt Sr. Daughter Terri-Lee Nadeau His siblings Nellie(Ross) Poor Eagle, Mary Jane Bearshirt, Ronald Bearshirt, Lena Bearshirt, Virginia Bearshirt, Francis (Gail Bird) Cutter, Laurette (Francis) Many Wounds, Marie Cutter. Father in-law Henry Dodging Horse, Mother in-law Agnes Nadeau, Aunts Gertrude Turning Robe and Alma Pretty Young Man, sister in laws Linda Bearshirt, Janice Marlene Nadeau, Rachel Lefthand Brother in-law Glenter Broad Scalplock, Kelly Nadeau and Traditional Brother Adolphus Weasel Child. nieces Sharon Bearshirt, Marie Alexis Bearshirt, Adeline Many Wounds, Nephews Jordon Bearshirt, Glen Bearshirt, Sheldon Dixon, Jordell (Girlie) Hunter. Rogers extended family are The Bearshirts, Many Shots, Good Eagle, Axe, Breaker, Cutter, Crow Chief, Wolf Leg, Yellow Old Women, Yellow Suns, Many Guns, Sun Walk, Big Tobacco, Leather, Little Light, Little Chief, Poor Eagle, LaFrance Adopted family Applegarth.
