It is with great sadness, our family announces the passing of our Dad, Uncle, Brother, grandpa Robert Lee (Joe) Peacemaker born September 7, 1970, and passed March 13, 2022.
Joe was born and raised in Siksika Nation. He attended school Grade 1-9 at Arrowwood and Grade 10-11 at Vulcan. Joe obtained a certificate in Carpentry and was employed at the Food Bank as a forklift operator. As a young boy, Joe was very adventurous and fearless of nature’s pets. He excelled in various sports such as Baseball, Track & Field, Volleyball, Hockey, and Basketball. He enjoyed many years playing with his family Slo-pitch team “Warriors” and travelled with his beloved Brass Family to numerous destinations in Canada and USA. Joe’s children will forever cherish the memories of his silly pranks, one-liner movie quotes, special cooking, laughter, and his unconditional love.
Joe was survived by his children Annie, Catherine, Claire, Isaiah (Tricia), Isabel (Meldrick), Isaac; Siblings Lieta (Alden), Calvin, Irvina, Anita, Julius, Francine, Vivian (Franklin), Stella, Keven, and 5 grandchildren Kari-Lynn, Carmel, Asaniikii, Isaac Jr., Kassy; Uncle Gerry, Mathew, Teddy, Mario, Larry, Dexter, Donnie, Rene; Aunts Evelyn, Vivian, Elaine, Angie, Tina, Liz, Ethol, Daisy, Rose. Surviving oldest; Georgia YOW (Adrian), Polli Wells (Tyler), Carmen Wells, Loni Shade (Dean), Irin Wells, David Wells (Dolly), Adopted siblings; Bobby Leigh Wells, Mike & Laurel Nawash, Toni Good Eagle.
Joe was predeceased by Grandparents Mike and Elizabeth; Mom Rachel, Dad Robert WL, Michael (Georgina), Harvey (Lorraine), Rita (Robert), Sylvia, John, Homer; Grandparents George and Edith, Georgette, George Jr., and Baby Jacob.
