Robert Linger

Robert Linger of Brooks, beloved husband to the late Patricia Linger (September 7, 2012), passed away at Sunrise Gardens in Brooks on June  3, 2020 at the age of 82. Born into a family of 7 to Mrytle and Jess Linger on November 8, 1937. Robert was an Arborist for 23 years and for many years was a dedicated minor football coach alongside his brother Jack. He was an avid fan for the sport and played baseball from the 70’s right up to 72 years of age. Robert enjoyed golf, fishing and jazz and would play a variety of sports with his children and grandchildren. Robert was adventurous and unfortunately he broke many bones (several times over) but never hesitated to jump into a lake with cast or bandages; this occurred on more than one occasion! Robert is survived by his children; Robert, Patricia, Christine, Tammy, Vincent, Shelly, Myles, Michelle, Richard, Susan, and Jo-anne and their families; 15 + grandchildren and 7 + great grandchildren; sister Rene Young and brother Jack Ambridge. A memorial service for Robert will be held in Ontario at a later date.
