Renee Linda Butt

Renee Linda Butt of Brooks passed away on December 1, 2022 at age 39 at Brooks Hospital. She was born, January 22, 1983 and lived in Rosemary, AB.                 

She was born in Newfoundland and raised there till she was about 13 years old, she spent most of her adult life in Alberta mostly Calgary and Brooks. Renee had a difficult time growing up because she felt insecure and was not the most confident in herself, she had some health issues growing up which made her very vulnerable and hesitant to trust people, but thanks to her siblings and some good friends she eventually snapped out of that and started to feel more comfortable with herself and body. After having her first son in April of 2001 she felt more complete and had a better outlook on life. She had some struggles as a new mother but she never wanted to give up trying. Renee may not have been an inspiration but she was strong willed and tried her best to be happy and live comfortably. 

Renee survived by the love and support of her sons Tyler and Dominic, her mother Jackie Gillingham, her sisters Jennifer and Christina, her best Friend Sherry Rose and all her loving family back home in Newfoundland. Renee was very loyal to her close friends and family, she had a big heart and a beautiful soul. She brighten people lives by being fun, outgoing and cheerful. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, children and elderly. Renee was loved by so many, always trying to make people laugh and feel comfortable. Renee will be missed deeply. 

Jackie and Jennifer will be honoring Renee on January 22, 2023 with a celebration of life as well as a birthday celebration as it would have been her 40th birthday.
