Renae Lee Turning Robe Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that our Renae Lee Tuning Robe has suddenly gone to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on December 28, 2025, at Siksika Nation.
Ranae is survived by her mother, Kristine Turning Robe (Warren), siblings Nicholas, Jody, Diego, Adrian & Kateya, Maressa, & Kaitlyn Bearchief. Her children, who were her world, Oshyn & Melody Calf & new baby Drake Beaver Jr. She was predeceased by her grandmother Jackie Turning Robe and also survived by her grandpa Kenny Pauls and auntie Dinah Turning Robe.
Renae was very accomplished for her young age. She graduated from Siksika Nation High School in 2019. During her school era, she played for the Siksika Suns, which was a true highlight of her high school years. She moved on to play collegiate basketball for one year with the Calgary Storms basketball team. She was very loved by many during her years on earth. She had a contagious smile that would light up a room. She was very friendly and outgoing. She had friends far and wide. Her family is extremely moved and touched by the outpouring of support and prayers from her friends who came together as her family. We will forever be grateful for your love for her.
Ranae was born in Calgary and moved to Siksika in 2008. She made Siksika her home and regained her Blackfoot heritage. She will be so very missed by all who knew her.
Wake services will be held at the Arbour on Friday, January 2, at 6 pm. Wake service will go until 12 am. The funeral will be at the Arbour on Saturday, January 3, 2025, at 11:00 am. Feast to follow at Siksika Arbour.
Ranae was very well loved. The family wishes to honor everyone who attends as an honorary pallbearer. Thank you to Siksika EMS, Gleichen RCMP, and Siksika Crisis. We apologize if we missed anyone.
