Mrs. Priscilla Marilyn Holand

HOLAND – Priscilla Marilyn (Ella) Holand of Brooks, beloved wife of Marvin, passed away in Brooks on October 9, 2024 at the age of 85. Priscilla was born to Joseph and Helen Albert at Lethbridge, Alberta. She attended Milk River Elementary School and when the family moved to Brooks, she received her education there. Priscilla had a variety of employment, including housekeeping at Willow Pines in Brooks and 25 years employed at Brooks Health Centre. Priscilla enjoyed cooking, yard sales, flea markets and attending annual oil Shows. She enjoyed animals, especially the small dogs in her life and looked to find new and beautiful pieces of Blue Mountain Pottery to collect. Priscilla was a traveler; visiting 17 countries on 6 continents; riding camels, elephants and walking with lions. She was predeceased by her parents, aunts and uncles as well as 10 siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Marvin; sisters in-law, Lyda Albert of Chilliwack, British Columbia and Joyce Lemieux of Brooks as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024. At Thom’s Funeral Home and Reception Centre in Duchess.
