Preston Clifton (Tsi-kii) McMaster of Siksika Nation passed away suddenly on October 19, 2021 at the age of 28 years on Siksika Nation. Preston was a humble man, culturally and spiritually strong, always participating in Cultural Ceremonies and commonly practising his Catholic faith with his grandmother Melvina. Preston was known for his infectious smile and loving personality. He had a passion for family, hockey, travel and wild horse racing. Most recently his outlook on life changed when he stayed in Surrey, BC for 11 months and dreamt of returning there one day to ground his roots.
Preston is survived by his wife Thora McMaster (Old Woman); his children Frances, Victoria and David McMaster, his parents: Crystal McMaster, James Many Bears and adopted father Dallas Duck Chief, grandmother Melvina McMaster; brother Gerard McMaster, Alias (Lavender) Many Bears; sister’s Dakota Back Fat, Kayla Own Chief. Adopted siblings Elijah Medicine Shield, Kasha Medicine Shield, Jaren McMaster, Jolisa and Micheal Peacemaker. Preston was predeceased by his grandparents Aloysius and Frances Many Bears, Charles McMaster, Uncle Morris Many Bears, Clifton McMaster and brother Dustin McMaster.
Wake Service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at his childhood home (Crystal McMaster) 2:00 pm. Funeral Service held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00pm. Preston comes from a large extended family.
