Myra Wynne Crow Chief Nee; Leather D.O.B; July 17, 1972, D.O.D; April 21, 2022

It is with Great Sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Niece, and Friend Myra.  Myra was welcomed with open arms by her mother Beverly, her sisters Lydia and Shelly, brother Jason and her daughter Jeanette.

Myra is survived by her loving and devoted husband Benedict Crow Chief, Her precious Children whom she loved and adored; Dallas (Amie), Lynette, Shaneill (Andrew), Cameron (Tyra), Kamie (Joe), Zared (Kaysha). Her beautiful grandchildren who were the beat to her heart, Isabelle, Priscilla, Lydia, Petara, Tadis, Thurmie, Dawnte, Aiyana, Tianna, Ethan, David, Diaz, Zeya, Parker, Novah, Kayzin, Zarius. and her newest granddaughter Jeanette Crowchief. Myra leaves to mourn her father Wayne Leather Sr. Her Brothers Wayne Leather Jr, Tyler Leather, and Barry Contois Sr., and sisters Adele McMaster, Thomalina Leather. Nieces and nephews, Kyle, Lindsey, Liesha, Hailey, Danielle, Roselle, Mariah, Kiara, Wayne III, Colton, Lynden, Hayden, Tayus, Joseph, Gary, Sharena, Branden, Kristine, and Graham. Myra also leaves to mourn her maternal and paternal aunts and uncles, Larry (Laverna) Leather, Clarence Leather Sr. Michael Right Hand, Richard (Florence) Right Hand, Marcell (Delores) Right Hand, Gina (Lance) Flamand, Novena Flynn. Delphine Right Hand.  Her in-laws, Romeo, Bob (Barb), Glen, Jason,Elden(Sherrie) YS, Dwayne B.O.M, AnnMarie, Daphne, Lillian, Wilda (Calvert), and Marcia. Myra was survived by numerous first cousins whom she loved immensely and took as siblings. She had many friends whom she also cherished and loved as siblings. Myra loved and cherished her nieces and nephews from the crow chief family whom she loved so dearly. Myra was predeceased by her Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, Amos and Edna Leather and James Waterchief and Georgina Manybears, and just recently her mother Beverley Leather. Her sisters whom she missed dearly Lydia Leather, Shelley Right Hand, and brother Jason Right Hand. Her Aunts and Uncles, Arthur Right Hand, Timothy (Debbie) Spotted One, Gregory Young, Joyce (Jerry) Daniels, Gary Right Hand, Jean Manyheads, Gail Right Hand, Marilyn Right Hand, Margerita Flynn, Mildred Simeon, Sarah Leather, Jean Leather, Lillian Leather, Angeline (Raymond) Leather, Doreen Leather, Peter Leather, Annie Running Rabbit, George Leather, Thomas Jerry. Her cousins Jr leather and Chico Crow chief. Myra grew up in the Washington Community of Siksika. She made many friends and grew up on the Leather Ranch and loved to ride horses with her brothers and cousins. Myra attended Crowfoot School and Graduated from Old Sun College. Myra took many Life Skills classes where she met many friends and her highest achievement was Graduating as a Heavy Equipment Operator herein Siksika. Myra was kind, loving, and very smart and loved her family and friends immensely, especially her children and grandchildren and her husband Benny. She enjoyed her cruises and adventures with her family and friends. Family time was her favourite. She was full of love and shared the love she had. Myra was a devoted catholic and was very involved in the Cursillo movement. Myra was a proud manager of her Tipi Self Business which she created with her husband Benny and made many tipis throughout Treaty 7. Myra leaves to mourn her extended families of Waterchiefs, Peace Makers, Many Bears, Poor Eagle, Leather, Right Hand, Running Rabbit, Edwards, Crow Chief, and Jerry. The family apologizes for any names missed and thanks to everyone that has offered prayers and support during this difficult time.
