Michael Daniel Running Rabbit ‘iipooskoomapii” went to be with the Lord on September 3,2021 in Calgary, Alberta.  He was born on December 3/1983 in Vulcan, Alberta.

Michael was known for his sense of humor and would make his family or friends laugh and feel welcome in his home. Everyone knew him as ‘Mikey’. He was so loved by a lot of people and was known for being so silly and would always joke around with others. He was known for his humble and loving ways and had great love for his nieces and nephews. Michael came from a traditional family and was into his cultural ways. He grew up singing with the Little Axe drum group who he named at a young age.  Growing up with his uncles he was taught how to hunt, dance, and sing pow wow.  He was also known for his participation in Wild Horse Racing and Bareback Riding. He worked on Oil n Gas rigs, pipelines, chamomile, Fire fighting, Fort McMurray with Suncor company and building Silos. He had great love for sports he participated in baseball, golf and mostly hockey. In 1995 he started playing with the Siksika Minor Hockey - Pee Wee/Bantam Sharks (later known as Siksika Coyotes). He remained close with his hockey brothers. He especially cared a lot about his 2 dogs Scoopy and Cowboy.

Michael is survived by his wife of 20 years Kelsey Stimson; Parents: Gerald & Donna; Son Sayder, Siblings: Trudy; Lester (Leandra); Damon; Stacy (Shannon); Jamie (Jerry); Bobby (Darrin); Sherry (Jaylon); Mother in-law Maria stimson: Father in-law Danny Stimson; sister in-law Trishia (Arthur) Little Light; brother in-law Derek (Angela); Adopted Mothers; Shelly Starlight & Rita Running Rabbit; Traditional father Robin BS (Ninja); Aunts & Uncles; Roanna, Liz & Alvin Big Crow, Rosalyn Creighton, Vivian RR, Evelyn Brass, Donna Raw Eater, Elizabeth Scout; Kenny & Louise Scabby Robe, Michael & Connie Rabbit Carrier, mario & Karen Water Chief, his God son; Stanley Axe

Predeceased by grandparents; Mr. & Mrs. Francis Axe; Mr. & Mrs. Mike Running Rabbit,

family members; Andy, Robert, Randal, Francis, Jordan, Priscilla, Jenny Axe, Stanley Sr, Ann Sharon Dwayne Healy, Lenora and Stanley Jr Running Rabbit. Wake Services will be held on September 9/2021 at the Residence of Michael and Kelsey at 6pm followed by the funeral on September 10/2021 at the Residence of Michael and Kelsey Running Rabbit at 1 pm. Feast to follow
