It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mike Bearchief/Dove, 47, of Calgary. Mike was a loving husband, dad, brother, grandpa, uncle, and nephew.

Michael Bearchief was born to his late biological parents: Dale Everett Bearchief and Cheryl Lynn Ford (Black) on January 20, 1976. Both of whom were from Siksika Nation. 

Mike will be lovingly remembered by his best friend, soulmate, and love of his life Stella Garcia. His beautiful children: Jillisa Grassl, Jade Jordan, Dominic Taylor, Tyler Raymond, and Donovan Cassidy, Sara Raymond, and Aaliyah. His adored grandchildren: Aaliyah, Kinsley, Wyhatt, Tyler. His sister, Corrine Heggart and nieces Danika and Sarah, whom he was very protective over. His adoptive parents Wilma and Brian Dove and his beloved dog, Storm.

Mike was predeceased by his parents Dale Bearchief and Cheryl Ford (Black). Paternal grandparents; Francis and Marilyn Bearchief. Maternal grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Black. Uncles Stuart and Eugene Bearchief, and his cousin Cash Bearchief.

Mike was full of life and never missed an opportunity to visit the mountains or go for a swim in the river.

In recent months he found love and comfort attending Eastside Victory Outreach where he became a volunteer and looked forward to the Sunday morning services and men’s prayer night.

Mike cared deeply for the people around him and would do anything to help those he loved.

He will be greatly missed by all.

Services for Mike will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023.

Viewing will begin at 10AM with a service following at 1pm at Eastside Victory Outreach. Following the service, Mike will be laid to rest on Siksika Nation beside his father and uncle.
