Our beloved Marlon Many Guns passed away at St. Michael’s Health Centre in Lethbridge, AB, surrounded by his children, family, and friends. Despite his health struggles, Marlon's strength and spirit remained unwavering.

Marlon is survived by his three children, Halle, Trygve, and Payne, and their mother, Alayna. He was a devoted grandfather to Dayson and Oliver. His memory will also be cherished by his mother, Jackie (Clarence), and his sisters, Tracey (Daylon), Janine, and Candace (Lee) Many Guns. Marlon held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews: Blazen, Ryder (Delanie), Kateri, Cowboy, Christie Lynn, Reil, Chloe, baby Reid, Lyndon, Amber, Cooper and Laredo.

He is remembered fondly by his aunties Lavina (Winston), Eulalia, and Jeanette (Glenda), as well as uncles Clifford (Judy) Wells, Horton Olds, Jerry Blackhorse, Francis and Ruth Melting Tallow, Herman Duck Chief, and great aunties Beauty Wells and Harriett Wells. Marlon's extended family includes the Red Guns, Wells, Melting Tallow, Big Tobacco, Fox, Rabbit Carrier, Bull Bear, and Duck Chief families from the Siksika, Kainai, Blackfeet, and Piikani Nations. He was also cherished by his adopted siblings Quinton (Harriet) Scalplock, Mark Big Tobacco, Art Little Light, RJ McMaster, and Megan Yellow Fly.

A gifted and competitive athlete, Marlon excelled in rodeo, hockey, basketball, baseball, and was renowned for his passion for steer wrestling. His proudest achievement was placing 3rd in steer wrestling at the INFR in 2000 in Albuquerque. He continued to compete vigorously and mentor many young athletes. Marlon was a dedicated member of the Siksika Horn Society, where he will be deeply missed.

Marlon’s infectious smile, sense of humor, and friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure among all who knew him. He was also a passionate rancher who took pride in maintaining his homestead.

Marlon is predeceased by his grandparents Clifford and Rosaline Many Guns, Rosario and Emily Duck Chief, his father Thomas Many Guns, brother Tom, uncles Wayne 'Cowboy' and Rick Running Rabbit, little sister Amber Many Guns, and his cherished son Reyd Rabbit Carrier.
