Lorna Anne Pantherbone

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lorna Anne Pantherbone on August 5th, 2024.

Lorna was a member of the Blood Tribe and was born in Calgary, Alberta on April 8th, 1966. In her youth she attended Plains Indian Cultural Survival School. She excelled at Basketball, Kickboxing, Drumming and attended Modelling school. Lorna later attended Nursing School at Mount Royal in Calgary and worked at Bowview Manor taking care of Seniors. Lorna was a great Mother, she could always make ends meet no matter what. She moved to Vancouver, BC in 2008 where she wanted to start a new beginning with her sons Blade and Lennox. Lorna’s second home was Vancouver and Burnaby, she loved to be by the ocean and go to the Beach.

It didn't take long for her to make lifelong friends and get to know her way around. She found a job that she was very passionate about at Atira, a hospice in Vancouver where she helped many Women on the Downtown Eastside with their health and wellness.

She was strong, caring and loving and would help anyone in need, She had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party. She could always win the hearts of anyone she met. She had lots of friends, young and old. She was everyone's Mother and would open her home to anyone in need.

Lorna was very adventurous and was fortunate to travel to many places with her Fiance Garry. Her favorite place was New Orleans and had many stories of her travels. Lorna moved back to Calgary to take care of her children and Grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She looked out for everyone and held the Family together. She will be greatly missed by many.

Lorna is survived by her Parents Lawrence Pantherbone (Father) and Yvonne Scout-Bigcrow (Mother). Her Fiance Garry Jobin. Her Siblings Lola Scout (Andy), Stacey Scout (Fred), Crissy Scout, Robyn Starlight-Cochrane, Larry Scout. Her Children, Caitlyn Pantherbone (Dane), Chase Pantherbone (Janeska), and Lennox Pantherbone. Her Grandchildren, Nova Pantherbone, Meika Pantherbone, and Shirley Pantherbone (Chase).

Lorna was predeceased by her Grandparents Bill Scout and Lily Scout, Albert Pantherbone and Emma Redgun, Her Sibilings, Jennifer Scout, Kerry Creighton. Her Son, Blade Crow-Pantherbone. Her Cousins, Glenda Scout (Annie), Sandra Scout, Kristine Kind, Krista Scout, Bernice and Leonard Oldshoes, Lisa Pantherbone. Her Uncles Willy Scout, Hugh Scout, Vernon Scout, and Matthew Onespot.

Lorna had many friends and Family that loved her, too many to mention. She cherished all the people in her life.
