Lindze was born in 1989 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan and spent her childhood growing up in Duchess, Alberta.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Brooklyn as well as both of her parents, Preston Eklund and Kelly Eklund (McMillan). Siblings, Brother Devin Eklund (Roberta Fisher-Eklund) and Sister, Amy Steidel-Eklund (Shaun Steidel).
She will also be remembered by her nieces Kyra Steidel & Kaylee Steidel as well as nephews Drayk Eklund & Eli Eklund, all of whom she loved fiercely.
She has left behind friends that she will forever be grateful for that helped her navigate through many difficult times in her life.
Lindze has always shared that her greatest accomplishment and source of pride and joy has been her daughter Brooklyn. There was no greater honour in her life than the gift of being a mom.
Lindze devoted her life to helping others by pursuing a career in Social Work. She obtained her Degree with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2020 through the University of Calgary.
Following this, she worked for several years as a Manager for the Children’s Help Phone Crisis Line.
Lindze will be remembered as intelligent, vibrant and kind, she loved helping the less fortunate. She loved to laugh and had an incredible sense of humour. She loved food and cooking. She also had a huge love and passion for all animals. Lindze was stubborn and hard-headed to the point that it brought laughter many times to those who loved her. She was driven and ambitious.
She was a warrior.
Lindze brought joy and hope to many during her time on this earth. With her passing, she has been given the gift of peace and with no doubt will continue her devotion to helping others in the after-life.
Lindze’s Celebration of Life will be held at Thoms Funeral Centre in Duchess, Alberta on Thursday, November 9th @ 1:00 pm. We invite you to come celebrate her life with us.
