Linda Mary DeFreese

Linda DeFreese of Bassano passed away at the Bassano Health Center on October 8, 2021 at the age of 74 years of cancer.  She is survived by her Daughter Sherri, Grandson Corbin,  Son Dean and Granddaughter Mattea.  She was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend  Brian in  2013.

Linda will also be missed by her Sister Dianna (Randy) Hayes,  sister  in-law's,  Chris Simonin , Lee Simonin and Debbie (Larry) Hein. Brother in-law`s Lanny (Barb) DeFreese and Terry (Syd) Helgeson. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her parents Luke and Gladys Simonin. Brothers, Lawrence and Ron Simonin and sister Alice Atchison.

Linda was born in Bassano on July 26 1947. She was raised in Cluny and lived there until 1966 when she married Brian and moved to Bassano. They eventually bought a farm in the Bassano area. After years of farming they sold it and purchased motel in Longview. After owing the motel for 10 years, they sold and moved to High River to retire in 2005.

In 2020 Linda moved to The Playfair Lodge in Bassano and resided there just  short of a  year.

Due to covid restrictions there will be a celebration of life for Linda  at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Linda's name.
