Leslie Marla Duck Chief

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Leslie Marla (Babygirl) Duck Chief. Leslie/Babygirl as everyone knew her by, was born on November 1,1970 to Geraldine & Melvin Red Gun.

On December 25th 2020 surrounded by family, Leslie passed away peacefully. Leslie was a loving mother, grandmother, auntie, sister. Leslie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Wacey (Charnel), Aiden. Siblings, Yolanda, Darcy, Elroy(Donna), Kelly(Sonia), Christine(Tasha), Ashley, Laura, Karen. Grand children, Katie, Nyjah, Chloe, Saintka, Violet, Kato, Baby Leslie, Kalob, Paisley. And her dogs. God children Christie & Joel. Numerous nephews, neices and friends, in-laws. Relatives, Duck Chiefs, Red Guns, Running Rabbits, Many Guns, Black Water, Mills, and so many to mention.

Leslie was predeceased by her parents, Melvin & Geraldine Red Gun. Daughter Amelia. Grandparents Christie & Emma Red Gun, Emily & Rosario Duck Chief. Aunts and uncles. Leslie grew up in Siksika most of her life. She attended school at Crowfoot, St. Francis(Calgary), Cluny Bow Valley. Leslie was very involved with her kids and grandkids activities, even with her illness and limited mobility. Attending as mant functions as possible, grads, christmas concerts, hockey games. Family outings, dinners. She made sure she was always involved with her friends and family. She worked at Siksika Family Services for many years.

Due to Covid restrictions there will be no wake. Funeral on Monday January 4th 2020 at 1:00pm at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Laid to rest at the Little Chicago Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Rocky View Hospital ICU, Siksika Home Care, Siksika Family Services. After the burial there will be a drive thru meal at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbour.

Due to Covid restrictions the funeral will be streamed live on Zoom. A tribute to Leslie can be located on Face Book. A drive through feast will be at the Gordon Yellow Fly Arbor after the burial.
