Lenora Running Rabbit Obituary

Lenora attended Arrowwood and Vulcan County schools in her younger days. She was very athletic in all areas. She enjoyed going to powwows and travelled throughout Canada and the United States with her all ladies drum group Buffalo Plains. She loved listening to powwow music. Lenora made her cursillo in 2004. The Rectora was the late Debbie Spotted One and the theme song was Jesus Died for Me. Her cursillo family was St. Agnes. She was an active member of the Horn Society and Brave Dogs Society. Her partner in the Brave Dogs society was Stacy Axe. She worked as a Medical Driver with Siksika Health Services as well as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Siksika Public Works. She was in the process of obtaining her Emergency Medical Technician. Recently, she did complete and received her certificate as an Addictions Counsellor. Lenora was an incredibly talented woman and was very creative in her beadwork, making outfits, flower arrangements and home décor. Her late aunt Sharon gave her the name “Nirmala” because she knew all the news in Siksika and Charlie was “Dar”. Lenora was a kind, humble woman.
