Lavina Sleigh Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Lavina.  She was a wife, a mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, niece, cousin and friend.  Lavina attended Crowfoot Residential School and also attended school in British Columbia. In her younger years, Lavina worked at the Edmonton International Airport as a clerical worker. She also studied as a Health Care Aid Worker. She was matriarch and pillar of her family and was a strong believer in our Lord and Prayers. She had many accomplishments in life.

She leaves behind to mourn her beloved husband of 30 years Clayton Cutter, her beloved Children, Leah, Omen, Helena and Carlin; Grand Children; Ahneasha, Aleah, Antoine, Ashlynn, Addison, Ayauntaye, Deyaundra, Leland, Ashtin, Shawlawna and Aniya; sisters; Christine Sleigh, Katherine Sleigh; Step Grandchildren; Nyasia, Ariayanna, Andraya, Clint Jr, Carlin Jr, Christaline. She is also survived by her Auties, Marie Crowchild, Margaret Goodeagle, Uncle; Leonard Goodeagle. Also Many Nieces and Nephews which is to much to mention.

She is predeceased by her Parents, Helen and Alphonse Sleigh. Grand Parents: Joe & Laura Goodeagle, Eagle Rib & Evon Son; Joseph Sleigh (J.R) and Her Grand Children, Ayden and Aleyaunna Sleigh, Brothers; John Sleigh, Matthew Sleigh, Francis Sleigh and Harold Sleigh, Sisters; Cecillia Yellowfly, Florine Sleigh.

Extended Family; White elk, White Eagle, Three Suns, Sun Walk, Scalp Lock, Breakers, Winnipeg, Big Tobacco, Black Face Chief, Many Shots, Yellow Sun, Weasel Head, Good Eagle, Many Fires, Leathers, Crow Childs, Many Wounds, Spring Chiefs, Wolf Legs, Little Chiefs. We Apologize for any family we missed, just know we love you.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Lavina Sleigh & Clayton Cutter at 6pm on November 09, 2020. Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 1pm on November 10, 2020. Feast to follow at her residence which will be a drive through.

We would also like to thank everyone for their support and to everyone who brought Donations.  Masks and social distancing are mandatory due to Covid-19 at the Celebration of her life.
