Jordan James Red Gun (ii Ka nii poo ta) of Siksika passed away in Calgary on March 22, 2023. He was born in Siksika, AB. on June 30, 1959. Jordan leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Wanda Red Gun, his daughter Sally (Curtis), sons Scotty and Vernon, and his mother Rose Red Gun. He is also survived by his brother’s, Rufus (Carmen), Dion (Cherlene), Smokey (Harriette), Clayton, Horton, Grant Blackhorse (Dee Dee), and their children; sister’s Juliet, Nena, Harriet (Quinton) and Tama; uncles and aunties John Red Gun, Reggie and Patsy One Spot, Rachel YOW Erminskin, Bernadette Crow Child and Lily Fairbrothers; grandchildren Samuel, Sierra, Harmony, Rosie, Jordan, Erin Amelie, baby Keanuk; adopted children Blaine “Joni” Big Old Man, Ginnie “Eli”, Maisen Jole Lafrance, Natelie Daniglet and Douglas Reece as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his late son Harry Jr, his father Harry, brother Romeo and paternal mother Margaret. Jordan was a Jack-of- All trades kind of guy. He established his own personal “Jordan & Grandson’s Garbage Removal” he also enjoyed slow-pitch and fast-ball. In more recent year’s he thoroughly enjoyed curling in Carseland Curling league and his Pool League in Strathmore. Jordan loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at his home during wake services on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 6 pm. The funeral will be celebrated Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 1 pm at Holy Trinity Church, on Siksika Nation. Graveside Service to follow in Little Chicago Cemetery. A drive-thru Feast will be served at Wanda and Jordan’s residence.
