Jordan Axe Obituary

The Axe Family announces the sudden passing of our dear Jordan Lester Axe “Sootaainaa” on May 29, 2020 on Siksika Nation. Jordan was born on August 24, 1963 at the Blackfoot Hospital. He is survived by his siblings Kenny (Louise) Scabby Robe, Liz (Alvin) Big Crow, Roanna, Donna (Gerald), Barbara (Freddy), Trudy & Stanley (Felicia) Axe. Traditional siblings Sandra Black Face & Al Hornberger. Adopted Brother; Lenny (Corrina) Wesley. His daughters Bobby (Darrin) & Waylene Royal. Son Ryan Royal. Granddaughters Shaylin, Andi, Bailey & Taniya. Grandson Allister. Great granddaughter Amari. Aunts Connie Rabbit Carrier, Elizabeth Scout, Evelyn Brass & Donna Jean Raw Eater and numerous nieces and nephews. Jordan was known as a kind-hearted and humble man who never turned anyone away. He had many friends throughout his lifetime. Jordan received his education from the Old Sun Residential School on the Siksika Nation. Jordan was known to have great horseman skills with his adopted brother Lenny Wesley from the Stoney Nakoda Nation. Jordan enjoyed making native crafts, listening to music and visiting with his many friends and family especially his baby girl Bailey Mayne. He also loved his crossword puzzles and eating his sweets, such as banana cream pie, pastries, chocolate bars and candy. Jordan was also a fluent Blackfoot language speaker and was instilled with the traditional Blackfoot ways. Jordan is predeceased by his wife Charlene Royal. Parents Francis & Jessie Axe Sr. Grandfather Edward Little Axe. Siblings Pauline, Andy, Priscilla, Robert, Francis JR, Randall & Jenny Axe. His best friends Hoss Brass & Henry Back Fat. Jordan comes from the extended families of Turning Robe, Brass, Crow Chief, Crowfoot, Gros Venture Boy, Curly Rider, Scabby Robe, Bear Shirt, Mayfield, Cutter, Black Horse, Yellow Fly, Doore, Back Fat, Leonard Black Horse Sr Family, Ivy Maguire Family, Ada Breaker Family, Joe & Geraldine Medicine Shield Family, Clifford & Rosaline Many Guns Family. Extended families and nieces and nephews. Wake Services will be held on June 4th, 2020 at  6:00pm at Roanna Axe Residence. Funeral Service will be June 5th, 2020 at Roanna Axe Residence at 1:00pm. The Gravesite service will be at "Niinaimskohkitoopii" Medicine Pipe Rider cemetery. Keeping with Public Health Regulations, this event is by invitation only.
