Jessica Ann Old Woman of Siksika Nation passed away suddenly on June 6, 2022 at the age of 24 years. She is survived by her parents; Rufus Winnipeg and Roberta Old Woman; daughter, Abigail; siblings, Robin (Sheldon) Old Woman, Beff Wolf Child, Carlis (Melanie) Wolf Child and Cory (Tiffany) Old Woman; uncles and aunts, Larry (Marvine) Winnipeg, Sharon (Nelson) Winnipeg, Delia Winnipeg, Chandra Winnipeg, Sheldon (Leslie) Winnipeg, Dino Old Woman, Miles (Ethel) Old Woman, Caroline (Randy) Spring Chief and Wanda Calfrobe; great aunts, Elsie Winnipeg, Jessie Buller, Rose Red Gun and Daisy Smith; nephews and nieces, Regan, Angelina, Zechariah, Malachi, Scarett, Cage, Xao, Yvaughn, Vance, Taver, Halo, Delana, Zavienne, Urijah, Sabre and Vida Rae. She is predeceased by her siblings: Alissa and Tyrel; grandparents, Peter and Noella Winnipeg, Doris Old Woman and Gary Many Guns; aunts/uncles, Weyman Winnipeg, Melinda Winnipeg, Lawrence Old Woman and Ada Old Woman. When she was younger, she would venture out with her mother which everyone in town knew her as Roberta’s mini me. Her ventures as she grew older, she graduated from Siksika Outreach in 2018. Jessica was enrolled in and completed the culinary arts program at SAIT. While living in Calgary, Jessica explored spaces in the city so her talent in photography may flourish. She was a natural and talented street photographer. Another gift, Jessica had was in makeup artistry. She probably could have worked professionally in any of these fields. Jessica was truly a creative and gifted person in the arts. We hope her love for these gifts lives through her precious and wonderful daughter Abigail, her family and friends. Jessica had a wonderful and close relationship with her special nephew and niece; Regan and Angelina as they loved gaming and reminiscing about their childhood. Jessica is survived by many other numerous relatives from the families of Winnipeg, Mayfield, Yellow Old Woman, Turning Robe, Red Crow, Black Kettle, Old Woman, Many Guns, Black. Family apologizes if we missed anyone. Jessica’s wake will be held at Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbor at 6 pm on Monday, June 13, 2022 and funeral at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Feast to follow after graveside service at Canon Stockton Cemetery.
