Jennilyn Eyan (Mitchell) Dahl

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jennilyn Eyan Dahl, who left us peacefully on May 30, 2026, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Born on February 21, 1964, in St. George, Grenada, Jennilyn devoted her life to fostering love and kindness, both in her home and her community.
Jennilyn, affectionately known as Jenny, was a compassionate and dedicated day home provider, offering a nurturing environment to countless children over the years. Her love for her family and community left a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jenny is lovingly remembered by her husband, Perry Dahl, her two sons Damien and Harlen Dahl, and her cherished grandchildren, Chenise and LeTrell Dahl. She also leaves behind her beloved daughter-in-law, Abby Dahl, who was not only family but a dear friend.
She is survived by her extensive and loving family, including her ten siblings: Stephanie Mitchell, Leonie Mitchell Henry, Donna Maria Mitchell Velez, Andy Mitchell, Anthony Kenny Mitchell, Mike Mitchell, Petra Mitchell, Cindy Henry, Chris Henry, and Clive Mitchell. Her mother-in-law, Inez Dahl, held a special place in her heart, along with her brothers and sisters-in-law: Garth Dahl, Allan Dahl, Penny & Al Zanger, Michael Henry, Dakar Charles, Felix Velez, Alison Mitchell, and Sylvia Mitchell.
Jenny was adored by her many nieces and nephews spanning Grenada, Canada, the USA, Venezuela, and Trinidad & Tobago, including Lorraine Mitchell, Samaica Henry, Darkar & Brian Charles, Leandra Velez Mitchell, Nicado Mitchell, Shorna Williams, and Melissa Kyrejto.
She was preceded in death by her dear parents, Durrant Mitchell and Drucilla Brown, and her father-in-law, Selmer Dahl.
A funeral service to celebrate Jenny's life will be held at the Brooks Church Of God, located at 190004 Rd 142, Brooks, Alberta, on Wednesday June 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be available to view online via a provided link. Arrangements are in the caring hands of Thom's Funeral Home and Reception Centre.
As we say goodbye to a remarkable woman, we hold onto the light and love she brought into our lives. Jenny's kindness, strength, and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts.
