Janice Marie Koza beloved wife of George Koza of Brooks, Alberta passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 25, 2022.
Janice was born and raised in Duchess, she worked at Master’s Drug Store in 1957 – 1958, Janice met George at the dance in Duchess in 1956. They began their journey and were married in 1958 in Duchess for 64 years, they moved to Tilley where they farmed for 12 years and had 4 children Barry Koza (Best friend Brenda), Pam Levie (Dean), Peggy Cockerill (Chris), Debbie Sharpe (Bob) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janice had worked at the Carrat Plant in Rolling Hills, they then took their family and moved to Brooks, Alberta, in 1972 where she got involved in fastball, she became the president of the lady’s fastball association in Brooks, she loved to golf, enjoyed curling which she was in many bonspiels all over. Janice worked at Bow Slope Shipping, B.C Pea Growers, Town on Brooks, and at Tripple E.
Mom was known for her great cooking skills; she was happy feeding everyone and along the way made numerous friends that developed into a lifetime of friendships. One of our mom’s biggest joys was all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she will always be remembered for the birthday card and that blue 5-dollar bill she always put in for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rest in Peace Mom
