It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of a father, Brother, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle Cousin and Friend Randolph James Jerry.
James also known as MAN was born on June 7, 1951 at the Old Blackfoot Hospital.
Man was a kind generous person who loved everyone and in return people loved him.
Man was raised by Moosom (Grandfather) Jim Jerry and he showed him the Cree way of life. In moosoms home all they spoke was Cree and that’s how Man became fluent in the language.
In his younger days, he played sports such as Hockey, Basketball and took part in Track in Field. One of his main sport was Hockey where he was a goalie with Old Sun, then with Washington.
In the late 80s Man worked at the Hidden Valley Resort as a maintenance worker and later on as a Security counting 40 years plus. He also met the love of his life Pauline and raised their 5 children together.
Everyone knew Man as he love to drive around and taxi people to bring them where they wanted to go. He also love to play Bingo and would go alone or with Charlie and Smally. Man was quite the character always made someone laugh by the little silly things he did. One funny story was he loved KFC chicken, when he was hungry, he would go out of his way to go get some. After a long time of eating chicken he got tired of it and started his new addiction which was Subway. Every day would be the same sub with a Large Diet Pepsi. Man could not hear very well, someone would be talking to him or telling a story, next thing he’ll smile and say huh what did you say.
These are just a few stories about Man that we will miss.
