Byron Blackrider passed away June 18, 2026 at Peter Lougheed Hospital, Calgary, AB. Byron was born in Calgary, AB and lived in Siksika Nation, AB. He attended the Crowfoot School. He enjoyed fancy dancing, making his own fancy dance outfits, and loved doing crafts and artwork. He loved his five beautiful daughters. He was humble and caring to people he met and always had a hug for everyone.
Byron is survived by his daughters, Fanci, Jadyn (sp?), Aubree, Kimzey, and Tayzin; his special friend, Shayla Brass; his sisters and brothers, Katie, Denise(James), Quinn, Clayton, Tracy, Karen, Yvonne(Trevor), Georgia(Doug), Yvette(Darcy), Michelle O., Lisa(Jason), Michelle C.C.(Herman), Michael(Nora); his aunties and uncles, Isabel, Oliver, Lydia, Joan, Melvin(Juanita), Sandra(Marvin), Marion(Larry), Robert(Nicki), Gerald(Wanda), Wilfred, Elizabeth Scout (Great Aunt), Fred(Pam), Victor, Hector, Clayton, Jackie Blackface, Joey and Waylon (special brothers), and numerous nieces and nephews.
