Jacqueline Dawn Poor Eagle-Saikowah’ko (Cypress Hill), of Siksika Nation Alberta passed away on April 10/2025, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bassano, Alberta on February 24, 1963. Jackie is survived by her loving Mother, Rosemarie Poor Eagle, her treasured children: Justin Bear Chief, Hilary, Whitney Sitting Eagle; also by her precious grandchildren: Paige, Shadessa, Carlin, Frankie, Taige, Oden, Jorzel, Ryker, Shadow, and Lawrence. Her loving sisters Carlene & Lynne, Brother Robin Big Snake, Her Aunties Betty Mills, Joan Poor Eagle and Uncles Douglas Poor Eagle, Joe Patrick.
Jack, as we called her, achieved her Youth Worker Certificate and Bachelor of Aboriginal Studies Degree from the University of Calgary and also achieved various certificates. Then, she went on to work for Siksika Nation in various departments such as Health, Food Bank, Agriculture, and BCHP. Her last endeavor was a board member for the Siksika Board of Education. Despite her struggles, it did not stop her from her motivation to seek other challenges
Friends and family will remember Jack as being humorous, courageous, determined, and compassionate. She loved her nieces and nephews who were remarkably close to her and would call her Auntie mom, Andy, Heidi, Kris, Sky, Keenan, Byron, Kyle, Andrew, Angel, and Tyler.
She was predeceased by: Her loving companion and Best Friend Dwayne Sitting Eagle (Son) Jordy, (Dad) Amos Poor Eagle, (Brother) Jordan (Niece) Tracy and (Nephew) Dustin; Maternal Grandparents Albert Big Snake & Maggie Big Snake (nee: Sun Shoe) Paternal Grandparents Joe Poor Eagle & Beatrice Poor Eagle (nee: wolf Leg). Maternal Aunties & Uncles, Bernard, James, Margaret, Theresa, and Joan. Paternal Aunts & Uncles: Margaret, Walter, Ross, Julius, Clement, and Cousins too Numerous to name.
She was part of the Old Sun & Hind Bull Clan her relatives were: Big Snakes, Poor Eagle, Black, Spring Chief, Maguire, Olds, Wolf Leg, Sun Shoe, Storms, Big Eye, Three Suns, Many Bears, Good Eagle, Drunken Chief, Breaker, Crane, Medicine Travelers,
Relatives from the Nekaneet First Nation Saskatchewan: Stanley, Oak, Francis, Mosquito Windy Boy from (Rocky Boy Montana)

Wake services will be held at her residence Map 9 house #69 POOR EAGLE Flats on April 16/2025 @ 3:00- 6:00 for family then open to the public.
