It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jacqueline Edna Blackface, who left us at the age of 56. Born on August 25, 1970, Jacqueline was a vibrant, outgoing individual whose kindness, helpfulness, loving spirit, and radiant smile touched the lives of everyone she knew.
Jacqueline is survived by her beloved children: Ashley B.F, Chantel B.F, Jason B.F, Tyler B.F, Erin B.F, and Taylor B.F. Her grandchildren: Cashtin, Tayzman, Taydem, Paityn, Aurora, Mazzie, Raya, Rowan, Hendrix, Lila, Olivia, and Levi who held a special place in her heart. She was also deeply loved by: her sibling, Ronnie B.F. (Jill); her father, Rodney (aka Jackie Blackface); her Aunt, Liz Scout; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and cherished friends.
Raised primarily by her parents, Jackie and Edna, Jacqueline loved her family dearly. Growing up in Siksika, she formed close friendships and created many fond memories with her loved ones. During her teenage years, she moved to Calgary with her family, where she continued to build lasting friendships. Later in life, Jacqueline relocated to Vancouver, spending several years there before returning to Calgary. She frequently traveled back and forth to Siksika to visit her daughter, Ashley, and her grandchildren, demonstrating her unwavering love for her family.
Jacqueline's joyful spirit and generous nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Jacqueline was predeceased by: her mother, Edna; and sister, Diane B.F; niece Valerie B.F; grandparents Isabel and Raymond B.F; Aunties, Gloria and Germaine B.F, Connie Rabbit Carrier, Susan Strangling Wolf; Uncles, Lonnie B.F, Gerald B.F, James Blackface - Turning Robe.
Jacqueline also leaves to mourn her many relatives from the Scout, Rabbit Carrier, Strangling Wolf, Big Tobacco families. Sorry if we forgot any names.
Wake Service will be held at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for family, and from 6:00 p.m. for the public. Funeral Service will follow on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Larry Water Chief presiding. Graveside Service will be held at Paul Little Walker.
