It is with heavy hearts we announce that our dear Isaiah has gone home. Isaiah was born on March 27, 1998, to proud parents Tracy Blackrider and Warren Bearchief.
Isaiah was an excellent sportsman who excelled in hockey and rodeo. He made it to Triple-A hockey and was scouted by teams in BC and Lac Labiche. He also played for Strathmore Tiger Timberlands. Isaiah's hockey highlights include a 15-nothing win where Isaiah scored all the goals. Another highlight was when he scored 7 hat tricks, which brought his team to provincials, where they won the championship. Rodeo was another great time for Isaiah. He started with his sheep riding, which led to the wild pony races, where they represented Siksika in the stampede, he later went into Youth Bullriding, where he won the Youth Bullriding series. Isaiah will be remembered for the love and care he had for his sisters, as well as his mom and dad.
Isaiah leaves behind his mother Tracy (Chris), Warren (Christine), sisters Maressa and Kaitlyn, baby brother Adrian. Grandparents Robert and Gwendora Bearchief, aunties Nicole (Darren), Jill, Katie, & Denise, Uncles Byron, Quinn, & Clayton, and great aunt Isabelle Olivier. He also has many cousins, relatives, and friends from the Blackrider, Crowchief, Big Tobacco, Bearchief, Old Woman, Sitting Eagle, Red Old Man, Pretty Young Man, Rabbit Carrier, Scout, and Blackface families.
Wake Services will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Maressa Bearchief residence, Crowfoot NTN #A20, beginning at 2:00 pm. Funeral will be Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Gravesite service at Little Washington Cemetery, feast to follow.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Calgary Police Missing Persons Unit, and the office of the Medical Examiner. You have truly gone above and beyond and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
