Ira Wilson, a cherished father, and friend who passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born on April 28, 1946, in St. Ann, Cave Valley, Jamaica, to his loving parents, mother Willel Gordon and father William Augustus Wilson and the youngest of 13 children.
In the 1960s, Ira made a significant move to Kingston, Jamaica, where he later began his dedicated career at D&G (Desnoes and Geddes Limited). His commitment and hard work were evident from the start, as he quickly became known for his professionalism and integrity.
In April 1982, Ira embarked on a new chapter in his life when he migrated to Canada, seeking new opportunities. His resilient spirit and determination guided him as he embraced the challenges and joys of his new home.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Ira had a passion for driving and vehicles, he especially loved the Toyota Tundra. His warmth, wisdom, and easy-going presence touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Ira will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His legacy of humour, unwavering strength and charming personality will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
