Born August 2nd 1979, Lac Labiche, AB passed away February 1, 2022, Siksika Nation , AB

Holly Drunken Chief passed away with her loving husband, children and family by her side on February 01, 2022 on the Siksika Nation at the age of 42 years old. Holly battled stage 3C cervical cancer. Holly has shown us how strong she has been for the past two years.

Holly leaves behind her loving husband of 24 years, Warren Drunken Chief and her  children Delaney (Shyla), Isaac (Desirea) and Mathew, Warren Jr. (Karlyn),Corrissa (Leroy) and Lorrissa. Adopted daughters Joenie Saddle Back (Brett),GrandChildren; Aiayanna, Treyson(King), Jayrian, Ginnaya, Liam & Layne,Kayan, Arcie, Curtis, Ivy, Malaya, NovaLee, Gerlaine, Kieran, Markus & Brett Jr. Parents; Mother Carolyn & Melvin Little Child, Biological Father Norman Leveillie (Pam). Grandmother, Betty Sparkling Eyes, siblings,Twin Sister Molly Little Child (Clayton) Kerrie (Truman) Many Guns, Bruce Coyote, Ivy (Dean) and special caregivers Gloria & Shanika Littlechild. Holly is also survived by her special sister Heather Abshire.

Aunties/Uncles Bradley (Noella) Sparkling Eyes, Rena (Arnold) Sparkling Eyes, Don (Tabitha) Sparkling Eyes, Raymond (Pam) Sparkling Eyes, Viola (Luke) Sparkling Eyes, Mary Ann Sparkling Eyes, Tina (Wayne) Sparkling Eyes, Evelyn Favel, Roxanne Pooyak, Harold (Jesse) Ladouceur, Melanie Ladouceur, God Children; Faith Many Guns, Shalonda Barlow-Smith, Shaleen Littlechild, Blackfoot Princess, Taneesha Littlechild. Holly was a very loving, caring, friendly, outgoing, and dedicated mom, daughter, sister, auntie, friend, Kohkam, and Kiipiitaakii. Holly made her cursillio on mother days, 2011. She loved watching her three boys play hockey, Holly was a dedicated hockey mom, enjoyed volunteering and supporting her boy’s hockey teams. Her leadership role included family gatherings, camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, and enjoyed site seeing of the band lands. She was a great supporter of her husband’s community engagements, Blackfoot ceremonies, and her husband’s educational journey. She loved traveling her favorite trip was to Beaver Lake and Paul Band Pow -wow. Holly was a caregiver and foster mom. She attended Goodfish Lake, Emeinskin Elementary, and Jr. High School in Maskwacis, Alberta. Holly was raised in Maskwacis, Kikino Settlement, and Good Fish Lake. She later married into Siksika Nation in 2007 to the present. Considered herself a Blackfoot woman. Traditionally blessed by Raymond Crow Chief and Angelina Leather.

Holly is predeceased by her daughter Tianna Dee Stella Little Child, Siblings, Cory Cardina and Willie Ladouceur Sr. Great Grandparents Alec and Stella Cardinal and Grandparents Willie Ladouceur Sr. and Percy Annie Leveillie. Uncle Pat Cardinal, Auntie Annie Howse. Her in-laws, Dorothy and Lloyd Cate Face, Patricia (Sakoo’) Drunken Chief.

Wake Services will be held on Saturday, February 05, 2022, @12, and continued on Sunday, February 06, 2022. At the residence of Warren and Holly Drunken Chief, Map 10 House 71. Viewing is open to family, friends, and the public.

Funeral at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, February 07, 2022 @1pm, burial at Little Washington Cemetery. Feast to follow at the residence of Warren Drunken Chief. Monetary Donations at warrendrunkenchief@gmail.com, P O Box 94 Cluny, AB T0J 0J0.
