He took great pride in helping the people of Siksika and was always proud of his clients. He always reminded them to try hard. After 30 years of service, he retired in 2012.  In his younger years, he was known to always be with his horses. Him and Mavis raised their children in Calgary and later settled in Siksika. One of Floyd’s many accomplishments was being the rector of the 1991 Cursillo. He was a devoted Catholic and was honoured to be selected. Floyd loved listening to country, gospel and powwow music.  His favourites were George Jones and Gordo Horn. Floyd loved supporting his grandchildren in hockey, rodeo, horse racing and graduations.  His favourite things to do was visit, talk on the phone, drop off snacks for his grandchildren and being humorous. He never said goodbye on the phone, he would just hang up on you. Floyd had many accomplishments and was always proud of his family. He had many friends from Siksika, Kainai, Tsuu Tina and Browning Montana. Floyd will always be remembered for his dedication, generosity and the love he had for his daughters, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, his sisters, his nieces, his nephews and his extended family.
