It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Errol John Spring Chief, husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind his loving wife Anne Cecile Spring Chief of 39 years, his children Melanie, Hutch (Pam), Chris, Ben Sr (Melissa), Krista (Clint), Stefany (Terrance), Brenda, his grandkids Owen (Stephanie), Dylan, Layla, Lanie, Tenaya, Anna-lee, Liberty, Leland, Ben jr, Emersyn, Kestyn, Jacksyn, Aiden and his soon to be first great-grandchild, His traditional kids Jackie (Delbert), Warren, Gina, Sherleen, Lynn, Daylon and BJ. His pets are Micco, Mio, Bullseye, and Minnie. His siblings Joan, Joyce (Jack), Shirley, Ann Marie, Harley (Delia), Kelly (Jackie) and Brother-In-Law Alan Stevens and adopted brother Robin Big Snake, His In-Laws Ann Marie (Leonard), Laura (Gerald), Ryan, Gerald (Merna), Bunny, Joe (Joyce). His aunties Christine Little Chief, Rosemarie (Robert) Bull Bear, Marie Calf Robe, his extended family Little Chief, Doore, Running Rabbit, Duck Chief, McMaster, Young, Low Horns, Eagle Rib, Sleigh, WolfLeg, Turning Robe, and Wolf Child.
In his early years, he loved playing fastball with the Shouldice Hawks, and golf, and his hobbies in his later years included hunting and fishing and he loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays and Calgary Flames. He had various jobs throughout the years as a firefighter, maintenance, and security. Every year he would always look forward to the Spring Chief camp as he loved spending time with his kids, grandkids siblings, and nieces and nephews. He was always willing to help his friends, he had a big heart, and he took all his Nieces and Nephews as his own, always calling and texting them if they were okay, his house was always open to everyone, and many of them stayed there.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth Spring Chief, his daughter Mckayla, his siblings Brenda, Delphine, Annette, Floyd, and Sam (Alexis) and brother-in-law Don, nieces and nephews Ivan, Jason, Keith, Jane, Tyler, and Drew.
