Peacefully, with his family by his side, Edward Victor Bosher (“Butch”) passed away on August 18, 2025, just five days after celebrating his 80th birthday.
Born on August 13, 1945, in Hamilton, Ontario, Edward embraced life with laughter, joy, and adventure. He had a gift for making connections wherever he went, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. He could often be found singing and dancing, bringing smiles to everyone around him, and proudly cheering on his Hamilton Ticats and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Edward was predeceased by his parents, siblings, beloved son Mike, and loyal dog Chi Chi. He is survived by his caring partner Beverly; his children, Debbie (Dan), Donnie, and Tracey (Ted); and his sister, June. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Donald, Courtney, Joshua, Michael, Justin, Miranda, Jordyn, Peyton, Liam, and Chelsea, as well as his great-grandchildre,n Ethan, Ellianna, Hudson, and Izaak. Edward also shared a special bond with his niece Lori, who was a constant source of love and support throughout his life, and leaves behind many other nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his granddaughter Courtney and her fiancé Rod for their unwavering love, care, and support over the past five years, which meant the world to Edward. They also sincerely thank the staff at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and the doctors and staff in Hamilton who cared for him during his dialysis and kidney transplant.
A private family viewing will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025. A celebration of life will be planned in Hamilton at a later date, where loved ones will gather to share stories, memories, and honour the life of Edward.
Edward will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. His laughter, love, and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
