Dustin Poor Eagle Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Dustin Myles Poor Eagle announces his passing on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the tender age of 34.
Dustin will be lovely remembered by his siblings Andrew (Savannah), Natasha (Morgan), Tyler, and Megan. Nieces and nephews; Hazelyn, Payten, Tilly, Mason, Vaiden, Lawrence, Jorzel, Anthony, and expected niece. Godson Carlin Bear Chief, Paternal grandmother Rose Poor Eagle, Kimberly (Keith) Running Bird, Shannon Sun Walk, Uncles; Doug (Beverly) Poor Eagle, Rod (Penny) Poor Eagle, Robin Big Snake, Trent (Elaine) Sun Walk, Troy (Jocelyn) Sun Walk and other numerous family members and friends. Last but not least his special brothers and sisters, Andy Poor Eagle, Skyler Bear Chief, Justin Bear Chief, Keenan Poor Eagle, Byron Poor Eagle, Cody Dixon, Oren Poor Eagle, Dustin Mills, Lyle Poor Eagle, Ross Poor Eagle, Everette Poor Eagle, Heath Poor Eagle, and Kristin Poor Eagle.
Dustin was predeceased by his parents, Faye-Anne Sun Walk and Jordan Poor Eagle; brother Jordy and sister Tracy. Maternal grandparents Pauline Sun Walk and Fredrick Many Fires, Paternal grandfather Amos Poor Eagle, Maternal great grandparents, Henry and Clara (One Gun) Sun Walk, Steve and Maryann (Bear Hat) Many Fires, Paternal great grandparents, Albert and Maggie (Sun Shoe) Big Snake, Joe and Beatrice (Wolf Leg) Poor Eagle.
A Wake will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Rose Poor Eagle residence at 2 – 6 pm for family and 6pm for the public.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Siksika Nation. Graveside at Crowfoot Cemetery following the Funeral.
A heartfelt thanks is given to the doctors and nurses of Unit 43 at Peter Lougheed Hospital, Calgary, Alberta.
