Drew Bryce Harl Spring Chief – Aipisskonnoki (Sniper) – August 9, 1995 – May 5, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our precious baby boy, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Drew leaves behind his parents Harley and Delia, Siblings Tyler (Sue), Drake (Nabrissa), and Dawn (Shane), he was a traditional Dad to Nieces and Nephews Franz, Dreus, Kale, Aria, Kylie, Brealeigh, Bentley, Gabriel, Ashlynn, and Baby Yana. Aunties and Uncles – Ann Marie (Leonard), Laura (Gerald), Ryan, Anne (Errol), Gerald (Myrna), Bunny, Joe (Joyce), Francis, Joan (Don), Joyce (Jack), Shirley, AnnMarie (Rocky), Sam, Kelly (Jackie), and God Father – Chris Spring Chief.
As a father figure to his young nieces and nephews Drew took time to mentor, encouraged them and took pride in their accomplishments. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins and all their children whom he took as his special brothers and sisters. Drew received his education at Crowfoot School, Milo School and Graduated Grade 12 from Bassano School. He was very athletic, he enjoyed hockey, baseball, golf, fishing, looked forward to our yearly Spring Chief Camp and Many Bears Easter Hunt. One of his greatest achievement was making it onto Team Alberta for running at age 13 at Cowichan B.C. and he was so cute as he was the smallest at the starting line. Drew is a very good cook and we’re going to miss it; he’s also a very talented artist and can sit there for hours just concentrating on his drawing, making sure it’s going to be a masterpiece. He had many friends on Facebook and Snapchat who were very close to him and he held them all close to his heart. Throughout his time in the Minor Hockey league he played alongside many team mates many of whom he played with from Pre-Novice to Midgets and his many coaches who mentored him. He never wanted to be late for practices and games and never wanted to miss a game as he was so dedicated to the sport of hockey.
At a very young age Drew was a grass dancer and melted our hearts with his fancy moves and he must be showing off to all the angels now. He must be extremely happy as now he is reunited with all his relatives who have gone before him: Great-Grandparents, Grandparents, God Mother, Uncles, Aunties, Cousins and Friends. He comes from a very large extended family and we want to thank all for you for your comfort and support. Thanking the Siksika EMS, Siksika Fire & Rescue, Gleichen RCMP, the Doctors and Nurses at the South Health Campus Emergency unit for taking special care of our precious Drew.
