On June 2,2021 approximately 9:06 our mother, aunt, grandmother and friend has passed away at Peter Lougheed hospital at the age of 89. Doris was born in the Siksika hospital and grew up in Cluny (south camp) with her mother (Betsy Owlchild) and father (Paul Spencer Owlchild). She attended Crowfoot Residential school (St. Joesph) 1933-1947. She was also a rancher and farmer with husband Harry Ayoungman. Doris is survived by Wesley Yellowfly, Elizabeth Yellowfly (Ernie Spearchief), Bernice Yellowfly and George Ayoungman; grandchildren, Kenny ThreeSuns (Marjory Rafanan), Keith Threesuns, Kendra Threesuns (Sonny First rider), Shane Yellowfly (Mchugh), Samantha Wolfchild, (Tim Crowshoe) She worked as a nurse at the old hospital in Siksika and and the children’s shelter. Doris enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She loved sewing, knitting, drawing, doing crosswords, gardening and her second hand stores. She also enjoyed watching scary and action movies, she also didn’t miss wrestling (WWE). Grandma was loving, kind, hardworking and liked to tell stories. Grandma will always be lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends. Doris is predeceased by her parents: Betsy Owlchild and Paul Spencer Owlchild her husband; Harry Ayoungman; her children: Linda Yellowfly, Vivian Service (Yellowfly), Floyd Yellowfly, Paula Ayoungman; adopted son, Shawn Blood; siblings, twin sister, Nathaniel Owlchild, Alex Owlchild, Sally Anderson/Owlchild, Sylvia Prairie Chicken; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jeffery Yellowfly, Joshua Yellowfly, Texas Timmie Crowshoe, Kieran Rafanan (Threesuns), Sage First Rider, Blaze Three suns and ex husband Kenneth Yellowfly. Wake services will begin at 3pm for family and 6pm for public at George Ayoungman residence Map4 house 29 on June 11, 2021. Funeral service at 11 am on Saturday 12, 2021 at George Ayoungman residence.
