Doris Carol Parkyn

Doris Parkyn passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at the age of 74 years.  Doris was raised in Turtleford, Saskatchewan, and moved to a farm near Morrin, Alberta where she met and married Dave Trentham in 1967.  They had two sons Mike and Brad.  Dave and Doris went their separate ways and Doris re-married Lorne Parkyn in 1981.  They made their home in Bassano, Alberta where Doris managed the Bassano Imperial Hotel for many years.  Eventually, Doris went to a hairdressing school in Calgary and opened up her own hair salon in Bassano.  Doris was a strong determined woman full of love and humor.  She will be forever cherished by her two sons Mike and Brad Trentham, two sisters Laurie Bunch and Dolores Periche, and three brothers Bruce, Glen, and Danny Urbinsky along with many other extended family members and friends. 

She was predeceased by her parents Pauline and John Urbinsky, her beloved twin sister Donna Zeigler and the love of her life Lorne Parkyn.
