It is with heavy hearts that we, the Alexander and Waterchief families, announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, and dear friend Donte, who left us at the young age of 24. Donte was born to his biological parents, Donnie Good Eagle and Jerilyn Waterchief, and from the age of two, he was lovingly raised by Randy and Dolores Alexander.
He graduated from Bassano School in 2019 and went on to pursue meaningful work and community involvement. Donte was a member of the Counting Coup Film Crew and participated in the Siksika Men’s Warrior Program. Most recently, he was employed at Chief Crowfoot School as an educational assistant, where he worked closely with the Grade Six class, leaving a lasting impact on both students and staff.
Donte will be sadly missed by his parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and all who got to cross paths with him. His warm presence and unforgettable, infectious, cheesy smile touched countless lives. We extend our heartfelt apologies to anyone we may have missed in acknowledging, as Donte had a very large family, along with friends.
