Derrick Jonathan Gardener

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Derek Gardner, at the age of 40 years old.

Derek was born November 4, 1983, in Calgary, Alberta, and passed away on December 8, 2023, in Calgary, Alberta.

Derek is survived by his children, Summer, Carter, Destiny, Autumn, Phillip, Daks, Erica and Dereks great granddaughter Serenity. Derek also leaves behind his siblings, Nathon, Adam, Breana, and Woodrow Jr. and his aunties Jackie Spring Chief (Kelly SC), and Donna Strangling Wolf (Ivan MB).

Derek was pre-deceased by his father Woodrow (Woody) Sr. Strangling Wolf, his mother Jackie Gardner, his grandparents Chris Sr, and Susan Strangling Wolf, uncles Chris Jr. Strangling Wolf Kim Strangling Wolf and aunt Sharon Strangling Wolf.

The funeral services will be held at the One Gun Hall on December 15, 2023, and Derek will be laid to rest at the Paul Little Walker cemetery. Feast to follow at the One Gun Hall.
