Dennis Black Rider Jr. (Siksikaikowan) was born in Bassano, Alberta on January 21, 1963 to: Late Dennis & Delphine Black Rider. He was raised in the Community of Little Washington on the Siksika Nation.
He is survived by his children that he loved so dearly, Courtney Bird, Shawna Medicine Shield, Melissa One Spot, Krystal Black Rider (Jerrika), Alanna BlueBird, Andi Axe (Trudy Axe Black Rider), Evans Crow Child, adopted son Jarren White Quills, 27 beautiful grandchildren and His dog Deuce that was always with him.
Sibling: Katie Black Rider, Denise (James), Quinn, Clayton, Byron, Tracy, Romeo Crow Chief, Ann Marie (Rob), Lillian, Wilda (Calvert), Daphna (dexter), Bob (Barb), Marcia (Rick), Jason, Glen, Benny and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Dennis lived a full life, in his life he was a Fancy Dancer, Pow Wow Singer, whom was the founder of the Blackfoot Crossing Drum Group and he also sang with various other Drum Groups, A-1 Club, Silver Horse, Charging Buffalo, Blackfoot Horse Thieves, little Axe and Broken Knife.
He loved horses at a young age and grew up to be a very good Horseman, he travelled to many Rodeos participating in the Wild Horse Race. He rode Buffaleos at the Calgary Stampede and won the event one year and also was one of the original participants for the very first time Na Soo Wa Castle Mountain Riders.
He believed in our Creator and was a participant of the Sun Dance, he was a member of the Horn Society and the Brave Dog Society.
His passion and favorite pass time was doing his Beautiful Art Work, painting Tee Pee and making outfits.
He enjoyed playing pool and was a part of the Calgary Pool League.
He will be greatly missed by all the people that were a part of his life, he touched so many people because of his caring humble heart, humorous ways, big smile, hugs and hand shakes for everyone he met.
