Dale Magnus Olsen

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Dale Magnus Olsen, of Brooks, Alberta on May 7, 2023, at the age of 80 years.

Dale was born the youngest of four boys to Isobel and Magnus Olsen in Medicine Hat, Alberta on March 8, 1943. He lived on the family farm in Whitla, Alberta until the age of 17, when he then moved to Medicine Hat.

It was in Medicine Hat, where Dale met Vi Brucker in the fall of 1961 and they later married in August of 1963. Dale and Vi resided in Medicine Hat, where Dale worked for a local glass company until they moved to Brooks in 1974 and opened Pheasant Glass until his retirement in 2005.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Vi Olsen, and his two daughters Shari (Jason) Nachai and Shannon (Ryan) Andrews. He is also survived by his grandchildren who brought him so much joy, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Cale Nachai, and Logan (Raelynne), Megan, and Joshua Andrews.

Anyone who knew Dale was touched by his kindness, humor and mild temperament.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 811 Cassils Road W.
