Obituary

Curtis Patrick Sitting Eagle

June 4, 1979 – August 27, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Curtis Patrick Sitting Eagle announce his sudden passing on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the age of 42. Curtis was born in Bassano, Alberta and raised on the Siksika Nation. Curtis’ greatest accomplishment was his children whom he cherished and loved. Curtis had the ability to brighten your mood upon spending time with him, he loved to make people laugh, his humour was infectious as he could have you smiling from ear to ear. Curtis had a great love for music he enjoyed blasting the old school soul rhythm as he would call it. Curtis loved his family and friends and would often express his love for them. Curtis was in deep mourning for his beloved parents and brothers who had passed on before him and although he weathered many storms in his life his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ remained strong. Curtis in his younger years travelled, danced grass dance, played minor hockey and into his early adulthood he created his family. He had many interests and hobbies which included playing pool, reading, and watching sports. Curtis will be lovingly remembered by his children Dre, Sharena, Drandin (Devonte), Deja and John; granddaughter Leigha Sitting Eagle; siblings, Anthony (Audrey) Sitting Eagle, Jim Brooks, Sandra (Radford) Black Rider, Vivian (Richard) Sitting Eagle; paternal uncle Gerald (Laura) Sitting Eagle; maternal uncle Joe (Claudia) Patrick; nieces Tessie (Tuffy), Crystal, Erica (Blake), Jarrisa (Brett), Lynsey, Cassie, Jessie, Lennie, Sarceena, Jewel, Malika, and Shikila; nephews Elton, Anton (Kayla), John (Kirby), Saunders, Jay, Shane, Adrian Jr, Tristan, Moses (Savannah), Eugene, Roman, Dhillion, Onesimus, and Pias; and other numerous family members and friends.
