On April 17, 2023, a lovely lady and wife to Itsipsstsinamahka (Walter Poor Eagle), made her way home to be with Lord. Together, they shared a life of ranching and a small business in Siksika Nation.
Despite the loss of her husband in 2012, Connie continued to make Siksika Nation her home. As an Entrepreneur, she inspired individuals with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to successfully start, manage, and grow a business venture. Connie operated and managed the Siksika Small Business Craft Shop and later moved her small business close to home serving the Nation in one way or another, until her passing.
Connie was predeceased by her parents: Albert and Mildred Stetler of Calgary, AB. She will be remembered by her son Joseph (Dallas)Wiley and step-children: Radcliffe (Penny)Poor Eagle; Wally Poor Eagle, Homer (Roanna)Poor Eagle; Gayle (James) Poor Eagle. Sister: Della Ring and Sister-in-laws: Betty Poor Eagle; Joan (Lawrence) Poor Eagle; and Rose Marie Poor Eagle. Brother-in-law: Douglas (Beverly)Poor Eagle. Loving nephew Steve. Nieces: Sheri and Lori, and grandnephew Matt.
Family and friends are invited to share a celebration of Connie’s life at the residence of (late)Walter & Connie Poor Eagle, Siksika Nation, Siksika AB. Condolences, memories, and photos can then be shared and viewed here. In lieu of flower donations, the family requests donations be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews Toll-free at 1-888-988-4325 or to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada, 20 Hopewell Way, Calgary, AB., T3J 545 1800-293-3717.
Greatly missed, love, prayers and forever in our thoughts.
