In Loving Memory of Clifton Gerry Saddleback
1979 – 2025
It is with great sadness and love that we announce the passing of our beloved Clifton Saddleback, at the age of 45. He made his cursillo on May 7-10, 2009. His theme song is, One Day at a Time.
Clifton was a true cowboy at heart — he loved country music, rodeo, and lived the cowboy lifestyle. He carried himself with quiet strength, always humble and never looking for trouble. Clifton made friends wherever he went, with an easygoing spirit and a kind, welcoming nature that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was a devoted father to his daughter Rita Bird and his grandchildren, June, Elijah, and Kyrell. Clifton had a strong presence in the lives of his family and friends. Whether you knew him through family, friendship, or just shared a conversation, Clifton made people feel seen and respected. His loss is deeply felt, but his memory will live on in every song, every story, and every saddle.
He leaves to mourn his father, Clement Leather, brother and sister, Carrie ( Alferd) Saddle Back, Darlene Saddle Back, Karen Saddle Back, Nardo Saddle Back, Calvin (Jackie)Saddle Back, Danny Saddle Back.
Auntie: Rose Running, Nancy (Dexter) Whit Eagle, Georgina and Rose Melting Tallow, Georgina Solway, Jeanette Leather, Theresa (Jason) Leather, Bernice (Bill) Leather,
Uncle: Joe ( Evangeline ) Leather, Gerald (Debbie) Leather, Francis (Ruth) Melting Tallow. He also comes from the families of Running Birds, Cayenne’s, Melting Tallows, Sleigh, Leather, Jerry’s, and Nancy Burns.
He was predeceased, his mother Rosalyn Saddle Back/ Leather, brother Donald Saddle Back. The twins, Harvey and Harvina Saddle Back. Grandparents, Paul and Mary Running Bird, George and Laura Leather. Rita Running Rabbit (nee Jerry), Aunties and uncle. Theresa and Matthew Sleigh. Mavis and Walter Shingoose Melvin Running Bird, Charlie Leather
