It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend. Clayton Red Gun (Cruz) was born on Siksika Nation on March 24/1965, and passed away suddenly on April/24/2024 at the age of 59. Clayton is survived by his children; Clayton (Can), Cyrena, Kristy, Taylor, Traditional children; Jenny BOM, Taylor CC, Sky H, and Ranell C. His mother Rose Red Gun, his sisters; Nena, Julliet, Tama, Harriette (Quinton) and his brothers; Horton (Irvina), Rufus (Carmen), Dion (Shirleen), Grant (Deedee), Traditional Siblings; Eulalia RR, Arlene Olds, Denise CR, Keith RG, Mike L, and Tony S. His grandchildren Latrell, Clayton 3rd, Autumn, Kylin, Gage, Kada-lee, Mila, Susie, Mikinley, Bella, Patience, Marnie. Special nieces; Kayla, Michelle, and Carly. His uncle John RG, his Aunties; Patsy (Reggie) OS, Rachel E, Lily FB, Bernadette CC, numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family and friends, too numerous to mention. Clayton was Predeceased by his late son Richie, his father Harry, his siblings, Jordan, Romeo and Twyla. Clayton acquired his security training and was employed by several departments within Siksika Nation, he worked for SRDL for over 10 years and was well known withing the nation. Clayton enjoyed playing sports, in his younger years he played baseball and won many tournaments, he enjoyed curling and he loved to golf. He coached little league baseball and won Siksika’s first ever championship. Clayton was a friend to all that knew him, he always made sure his people were taken care of, especially his family. Clayton was known for his friendliness, and for his willingness to help, he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and he would go above and beyond for them. He had a big heart, and he is very loved and missed. The wake services for Clay will be held at Rose Red Guns residence on Friday, May/03/2024 at 6pm and the funeral services will be held at Rose Red Guns residence on Saturday, May/04/2024 at 1pm. Graveside service to follow in little Chicago cemetery. A feast will be served at Rose Red Guns residence, all family and friends are welcomed to attend.
